Yin Yoga, with Sasha Chermayeff

Yin, or Taoist Yoga, focuses on the bones, ligaments and connective tissues, particularly those in the hips, pelvis and low back. The postures are held for long periods, usually 5 minutes, with acceptance and ease, allowing deep release. The class is done on the ground, sitting and reclining, both prone and supine. Suggested props: blanket, bolster , blocks.
