July Fun-Raiser for MovingPotential
Guess what? You don’t have to go anywhere to support our fundraiser — we’re sparing you one more thing to add to your trying-to-find-time-to-chill-out-in-the-summer schedule! For the month of July, you can donate in all ways: cash, check, and digitally through our fabulous fiscal sponsor, The Flow Chart Foundation.
When you donate $50 (or more), you’ll automatically be entered into our raffle for lots of fun giveaways, including class cards, t-shirts, and special gifts. You can also make a tax-deductible donation for $200 or more.
Check out our new MovingPotential.org website for updates on the projects, workshops and programs happening at Ascension Yoga, Columbia County Jail, Greene County Correctional Facility, Samaritan Daytop Village, and Reentry/Columbia.

Founded by Sadhana Center’s Director Sondra Loring, MovingPotential brings trauma-informed, mindfulness-based yoga and meditation to people impacted by trauma, addiction and incarceration in New York’s Hudson Valley. The resources and tools we provide for recognizing and reducing aggression, impulsivity, reactivity, and despair, give prisoners and addicts a greater chance of taking responsibility and living differently. We say these tools and resources are the foundation for personal and social transformation.
We have active programs running concurrently in prisons, recovery centers, and residential centers for young people. We are now also working with children of incarcerated parents, through the Greater Hudson Promise organization in Hudson, NY.
